Why Miley Cyrus Quit Twitter || YouTube
Miley Cyrus has spoken out once again on why she deleted herself from Twitter.
Cyrus, 16, posted her last Tweet Thursday afternoon, saying she was deleting her account — which had over one million followers — at the request of Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, her The Last Song costar and rumored love interest.“FYI Liam doesn’t have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason,” she Tweeted.
We love you, Miley Cyrus, but seriously, enough already. We followed you on Twitter until the bitter end. We pondered a world without Miley tweets alongside your closest friends and family. We even humored your hip-hop tinged sayonara send-off. Did we really need another Twittergate address?
Apparently—or at least Miley thinks so. The tween queen took to her website to send one final (we hope!) explanation to her former Twitterverse:"You all are the closest thing to my heart & it breaks my spirit to hear that some of you feel neglected since I deleted my twitter. It was a wonderful way to stay connected to you..."
But the starlet makes a good point: "In the end it is still a business and I do need some sort of a 'normal' life as well. I often complain to the ones closest to me that I don't seem to have much of a private life any more and part of that is my fault."
"No it wasn't because my friend told me to. Ya'll know very well what you say I don't do. And the reasons are simple, I started tweeting about pimples. I stopped living for moments and started living for people."
"I want my private life private," she raps. "I'm living for me."However, there may have been another person in mind when Miley ditched the site she says she was "obsessed" with. Her last tweet referenced "The Last Song" co-star Liam Hemsworth, the teen star's rumored boyfriend. She wrote, "FYI Liam doesn't have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason."
