The Late Music Legend Bought The Luxuty-Elvis Presley's

The late music legend bought the luxury estate – a 155-acre property near Memphis, Tennessee - in 1968 to share with his new wife Priscilla. Known by fans as the ‘Elvis Ranch’, the rock ‘n’ roll star owned the Circle G estate in Lake Horn from 1966 to 1971.
Estate agent Rodger Motz expects the ranch to be snapped up by a fan and has already had one interested buyer contact him from Denmark.
He said: “I knew before I listed the property that there were a lot of Elvis fans out there. But I have to admit, I was surprised to get a call from that far away.
A few months after the Beatles box sets made retailers scramble to fill orders, the King of Rock 'n' Roll is getting the royal treatment.
Legacy Recordings is marking Elvis Presley's 75th birthday in January with a 100-song box set called "Elvis 75: Good Rockin' Tonight." The four-disc set arrives December 8.
Featuring an 80-page booklet of photographs and liner notes that place his life and career in cultural context, the collection demonstrates Elvis’ elasticity as an artist. The opening “My Happiness” is a traditional pop song he recorded for his mother before he signed with Sun Records. The track listing includes such rockin’ tracks as “Hound Dog” and “Little Sister,” gospel numbers “Crying In The Chapel” and “How Great Thou Art” and the updated pop re-mix of “A Little Less Conversation.”
Country, of course, plays a role in the set, from the rockabilly Sun years through the early hits and in tracks from his final years, such as “Way Down” and “Hurt,” which played better in the country genre than in pop.
The ''large quantity'' of Elvis's hair is one of more than 200 lots going under the hammer this Sunday at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago.
Other items on sale include an Elvis Presley Pez dispenser, dolls and clothes worn by the rock-and-roll great.
