Drew Barrymore Surpised our Next

Drew Barrymore wants all movie and/or roller skating fans to join her in Farmington Hills Friday for a get-together in support of her new movie.
Barrymore is making her directorial debut with next month's "Whip It," which filmed scenes in Michigan and is centered around the world of roller derby.
The 34-year-old actress and filmmaker will walk the red carpet and host the skating event Sept. 11 at Bonaventure Skating Center in Farmington Hills. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own skates, or they can rent them for a fee.

It's from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bonaventure Skating Center, 24505 Halsted Road, Farmington Hills.
The first 955 people in line, get it. Admission is free. People are encouraged to bring their own skates, or they can rent skates for a small fee.
It's all to promote her new movie "Whip It", which was filmed in Michigan.
"Whip It" opens nationwide October 2nd.

As all movie fans will recall, Drew played a Boston career gal who romances Fallon’s diehard Sox fan in the 2005 flick - which needed a last-minute rewrite and reshoot when the infamous Band of Idiots actually won the World Series.
Hey, you know how it goes with directors and their leading ladies.
The Marie Claire article plays with their relationship by mentioning that the two ladies “can't keep their hands off each other.”
