Welcomes Twins Charlene New doubles team for Federer

It’s a surprise doubles team! Roger and Mirka Vavrinec Federer are the proud parents of twin girls, the tennis star announced early Friday morning on his website.

Daughters Charlene Riva Federer and Myla Rose Federer arrived late Thursday evening, July 23rd in Switzerland, Roger, 27, shares.
Federer posted an announcement on his Web site that Charlene Riva and Myla Rose were born Thursday night.

"This is the greatest day of our lives. Mirka, Myla and Charlene are all healthy and doing very well," Federer said.

Earlier this month, the 27-year-old Federer, the reigning five-time U.S. Open champ, captured his sixth Wimbledon title with a thrilling five-set victory over Andy Roddick. That moved Federer past Pete Sampras for the most Grand Slam titles all-time.
This is the greatest day of our lives. Mirka, Myla and Charlene are all healthy and doing very well," Federer said in a statement.

Federer married his longtime girlfriend in April. Mirka (Vavrinec) is a former WTA Tour player. The two Swiss met at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
