Ashlee Simpson-Wentz celebrated her 25th birthday on Saturday (October 3rd) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Simpson partied in a private bungalow with family and friends, including her husband Pete Wentz, sister Jessica Simpson, as well as her parents Tina and Joe Simpson.
At the party, Simpson told People that she's excited about working with Heather Locklear on the new Melrose Place, saying, "She's great. She's fantastic. I really, truly believe that she's part of the heart of the show. She's so sweet and has a great energy, so it's great to have her on the show."
And Simpson’s just as eager as viewers to see where Locklear takes wolf-in-ad-exec’s-clothing Amanda Woodward nearly two decades after she first stepped into the role.
“I’m interested to see where her character goes,” Simpson said. “I think it will be fun, as we all are interested to see how our characters are going. She’s just fantastic and lovely to have around.”
Ashlee said: "She's great. She's fantastic. I really, truly believe that she's part of the heart of the show. She's so sweet and has a great energy, so it's great to have her on the show."
Ashlee, who plays Violet Foster on the show, seems to be taking advantage of the fact that her husband is currently on tour in Dallas. Last Star heard, she was wearing a robe and grabbing Colin's hand.
"They hung out together for hours. She giggled nonstop and did the whole hair-flip thing," the source continued.
Do you believe the rumors? I sort of do. There have been rumors of Ashlee and Pete fighting in the past, and I'm fairly positive Ashlee's a wild child beneath it all.

The two films Hrithik and I did were poles apart and now Sanjay’s film takes us into a totally different territory. Like I said, there’s no glam zone in this one. I go completely by my convictions. I chose to do Dhoom 2 after ten years in the industry and not at the start of my career. I was just cracking a genre. And then I moved on. On the other hand, I was content being totally deglam in Guru. If I get loved by my audience for it, then nothing like it,” she said.
